The Five Things Sin Took From You

Reflection
Paul lists five specific wounds that sin inflicted: separated from Christ, excluded from God's people, a stranger to God's promises, without hope, and without God. Each one is a loss. Each one is a void. And none of them were small. To be without hope is one of the heaviest sentences a human soul can carry. To be without God is to navigate the vastness of existence completely alone. Paul names these not to condemn but to clarify — so that when Christ enters the picture, we understand the full magnitude of what He walked into, and what He walked us out of.

Father, let me feel the weight of what sin costs — not in guilt, but in gratitude. Thank You for coming for me when I was without hope and without You. I am not that person anymore, and only You could have made the difference.
